Mountain View Church is blessed to be involved in the Relief and Spiritual Ministry to the people of Western Nicaragua. We have been blessed to provide for the construction of a missionary house that sleeps up to 44 short-term missionaries and has a 3,600 square feet auditorium. As part of that effort, God has also allowed us to start a Bible College where we train pastors and church leaders. In 2007, we planted a church, Mountain View Junior (we didn’t pick the name). Under the leadership of Pastor Porfirio Gonzales, Mountain View Junior has grown to over 100 and continues to grow as they minister in the village of Trohilo. In 2009, we began construction of a school for Trohilo as well. This village currently has no school and as you can imagine, the illiteracy rate is extremely high. We look forward to what God will do through the new school and how the people of Trohilo will benefit for years to come.

Thank you to all who have supported this mission effort both financially as well as with your prayers. Many people from Mountain View have traveled to Nicaragua to help with projects, minister to the children, provide medical support, and evangelism. A few folks have invested a significant amount of their lives in Nicaragua, traveling multiple times, significantly donating, exercising leadership on the board of Vision Nicaragua, or being a more long-term missionary of Mountain View.
