Senior Pastor Brent Bolick was born and raised in Blowing Rock, NC, and was called into the ministry as a teenager. After serving churches in Reidsville and Deep Gap, NC, he became Pastor at MVC in March, 2013.
Brent is a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute and also earned a BA from The College at Southeastern. Besides preaching and serving as Pastor, he enjoys music, reading, and The Andy Griffith Show! He and his wife Tracey have four children, two cats, and a dog named Millie.
Joshua joined the MVC Staff in September of 2017. He grew up in Gastonia, NC. He is married to Savannah and they have two boys, Malachi and Elias. He received a Parks and Recreation Degree from WCU, so of course he loves to be outside, hiking, kayaking or relaxing in the hammock. After graduating from WCU Joshua attended Liberty Univ. and earned a Master of Arts Degree in Church Ministries, focusing on Youth and Evangelism. He has spent the last eight years teaching and working with youth. He and his family are extremely excited that God has opened the door for them here at Mountain View.
Michelle is originally from Seminole, Florida, and has a heart for both her work and her family. She has spent the past two years working with MVC and also serves as a Realtor with Keller Williams. She and her husband, Martin Riggs, are proud parents to three amazing boys—Corey, Blake, and Noah—who keep life lively and full of joy. Whether in her career or at home, she is passionate about serving others and staying rooted in faith and community.
Spencer was born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina, and started working sound at the age of 14 for his home church. Spencer is currently attending UNC Asheville, studying a BS in Music Technology. After moving to Black Mountain to attend college he started working at Mountain View in January of 2023. In his free time, Spencer enjoys hiking, playing bluegrass, and recording/producing music for himself and other artists.
Tammy has been a part of Mountain View Church since 2016. Born and raised in Asheville, she loves the strong sense of community and family that MVC offers. She has been married to her husband, Gollie, for over 25 years and is a proud mom to college-aged twins, Emily and Sidney. When she isn't cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, you'll find her shopping or spending time outdoors.
